Ariana Grande was in Singapore for the international launch of Wicked: For Good

Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are calling for that a man who leaped a barricade and touched the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the Australian man bypassing camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the actors made its way down a event pathway surrounded by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records indicated that he was scheduled to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last December.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is clearly a legal violation," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Fans Voice Worry Over the Star's Past Trauma

Numerous followers accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said a further message on Instagram.

Several attendees also questioned event staff at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while some requested online networks to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Event Details

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande looked shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.
