The Comedy Series Brassic Ends Its Run with Influenced by Tarantino Finale
The creators Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are concluding on their humorous show about a close-knit group of endearing rogues running riot in a countryside town in Lancashire. You might expect the last episode to be a greatest hits victory lap of alcohol, substances, and playful theft. But, the atmosphere turns much more somber as the character Vinnie, played by Gilgun and the gang hole up in a bar with criminal figure Davey MacDonagh for a climactic 50th episode apparently inspired by the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

But the penultimate episode of this initially sluggish but ultimately compelling series about phone hacking sees David Tennant’s Nick uncovering information about the News of the World’s conduct that the rest of the media simply can’t ignore. Things are also looking up for the character Dave, who has a surprising new ally.
